2022 Smart watches

2018 was the year of smart watches. With a lot of brands offering different types, from sophisticated to very basic, it’s hard to go back and pick one particular watch that suits your needs perfectly. If you want something more subtle, try a smartwatch that comes in black. There are plenty of options out there though; smartwatches are everywhere on Amazon, T-shirts for sale everywhere, and have been used for running, hiking or other simple tasks which includes some serious timekeeping functionality added to make life better. The range of smartwatches on the market has changed quite a bit over the last few years. Some will be limited to use while others make full daytime usage possible. As well as the most common ones, smartwatches exist in many sizes: compact, medium, massive, and even tiny. They usually feature everything from GPS tracking, blood oxygen monitoring, sleep quality monitors, and much more, but can vary widely from being completely useless to having all the features you want! You could choose the exact version you want or look into the brand itself to find a specific model right for your own lifestyle. Here we’ve rounded up a range of options, based on our research of the best smartwatch. While there is some overlap with each brand, this list will cover every type. From budget smartwatches to luxury wearable smartwatches, we’re sure all of your questions will be answered.

Flux smartwatch

The Flux smartwatch is a pretty interesting option to get started with. It’s currently available for preorder, has a starting price of £199, and has an expected delivery date of June 2021. When I reviewed its predecessor it (2018), I said it had got everything right as the design was great whilst also doing a good job at making the product feel like a real classic smartwatch. That is exactly what it feels like, especially when comparing against a standard smartwatch. These days it’s just about as good as one of those old school, expensive wristwatches you see in shops. As far as functionalities, it does come complete with everything you need to do a lot of daily activities such as track your steps and calories while still getting enough data from the heart and sending important notifications. All these functions will keep you motivated and feeling more productive than if you were to rely only on your phone. We love how easy it is to pair it with your smartphone and your favorite apps without needing any additional cables or Bluetooth connection. On top of all that, you get access to a slew of different games, music tracks, and workouts along with various watch faces. This makes sense as smartwatches often let you connect with people, and using your smartwatch means no one else has to. And while it may not be for everyone, when it works it really helps you stay focused and productive when on the move.

Budget smartwatch

The Budget smartwatches is definitely the cheapest smartwatch to come from Bose themselves, although it comes in black instead of silver and black is rather unusual in the current smartwatch space. But for someone who wants to upgrade, if they’re looking after their money, then it’s worth grabbing this one. In terms of battery life, it still provides six hours between charges as opposed to over 12 hours for most other budget smartwatches. Additionally, it boasts three buttons which means you’ll never need to switch to another screen whilst using it. It offers seven time zones from six to 24, so it’s perfect for most people. However, it doesn’t come with Spotify or Google Assistant built in, so don’t worry about missing out on that part for now. But then again it may be worth downloading them anyway as there are plenty of apps available to download to your smartwatch whilst also being able to send messages via Bluetooth whilst wearing it! Another plus is finding yourself wondering why they seem to be smaller? This smartwatch is bigger than a large size pocket knife, and it’s very comfortable to wear too. Even with all that good news it does come with a 6 hour battery life and two hour charge times.

Elevated smartwatch

The Elevation is one of my personal favorites. It’s very compact which meant that we could easily fit it inside a case or carry it around or in a bag. There’s also a built in compass for navigations and walking, as well as the ability to call, text, or talk with anyone. Obviously, all of this isn’t to say it’s useless, but if you’re travelling regularly or plan to take a trip you’ll know you’ll likely need something reliable to help you on the journey. The same goes for fitness enthusiasts. Although this one doesn’t boast anything special it’s incredibly accurate to almost 100miles and can run daytimes and weekends. With GPS tracking too you’ll be able to know where you are when you’re hiking. Plus, it has NFC which means you don’t have to worry whether the device is connected to your laptop/tabletop. Which could sometimes mean that you lose your phone whilst walking or while trying to focus, but with this model you don’t have to worry. So long as it’s within the range of things that require your attention. A nice bonus is the fact that you won’t have to buy a separate tracker when changing your devices. Since this device is very similar to the Elevation, it’s unlikely you’ll need to buy another set of watchbands.

Smart Watch 4

This is definitely one of my least favorite options as it has a few big flaws. Firstly, it seems like a little bulky, but I’ve not yet tested it with this in mind so this remains to be seen. Secondly, it didn’t work as well when I first looked at it, which might be due to me having a weak memory due to a difficult spell of dementia. What’s not a problem is that it has lots of good features including sleep quality monitoring that makes for a great nigh watch. Personally, I find it easier to wake up once dinner is ready, simply swipe to wake me up. It also pairs well with speakers and headphones or even Bluetooth speakers when paired with the speaker app. Lastly, as mentioned above, it’s cheaper, there’s no charger, and it runs on Android which is a huge selling point for smartwatches nowadays. My recommendation is a cheap Garmin smartwatch. There’s nothing wrong with that, and the best thing I could recommend is an iPhone or Apple Watch for better reliability, battery life, and probably even a longer battery life. Overall though, it’s a great smartwatch and for those who know what they’re doing and want to save money, this is worth checking out.

Smart Watch 5

The Smart Watch 5 is the largest smartwatch on this list. At 1.9 inches wide, it feels a bit larger than the previous model, but it’s still very portable to carry around, so it fits nicely inside pockets. Despite being considerably wider, it’s actually made from more durable materials which means that it has less breakages and can hold its own on certain challenging terrain. Whilst it’s small, it’ll sit comfortably inside your hand or in your pocket, whilst making it ideal for carrying around. There’s a wireless charging facility but it’ll also allow you to connect to Bluetooth headsets using it’s built-in speakers. Once again, this is something that really sets this model apart from everything else. It looks amazing and I love seeing a bright color scheme in smartwatches, which I’d never imagined would be possible. You can also connect to Siri whilst wearing it. Finally, the company claims that this wearable watch weighs 200g, which isn’t bad considering it’s light and sleek. The best part is that it is water resistant for five minutes and can also swim around 50 meters! All in all, it’s perfect for beginners users.

Laptop smartwatch

This is the kind of thing we’ve already discussed, but for someone who wants more functionality and convenience than your typical smartwatch, the Laptop smartwatch is perfect for them. Its design means that you can wear it as a piece of clothing or a watch, and it can connect with your phone via Bluetooth whilst wearing it. It uses some sort of gyroscope mechanism to tell these devices where you are and adjust accordingly, so its great for those of you who prefer a hands free experience with a piece of technology. Also, there’s some very useful features here. For starters, it has a built-in GPS unit and allows you to use it whilst out exploring. Furthermore, the battery life is reasonable, lasting for roughly 17 days with normal usage and the Bluetooth connection ensures that you can work with multiple devices. Just like the Elevation, there’s a microSD card slot for storage purposes so this device can accommodate a large amount of data. Again, while it’s fairly big you wouldn’t wear this all the time, perhaps you’ll be keeping it on for some quick walks, but for anyone who takes regular walks or trips it should leave you with plenty of battery life. I personally prefer the idea of being able to use this item while walking if I have to.

Luxury smartwatch

The Luxury smartwatch, coming from Misfit, is by far the priciest of the bunch as you can get for under £300. It has a starting price of £
